Russia Allegedly Shares Drone Technology, Satellite Data with Iran
Moscow has expanded its military cooperation and intelligence sharing with Tehran, supporting its ally in ongoing conflicts against U.S. and Israeli operations, which began nearly three weeks ago, the reports state.
The assistance includes components for modified Shahed drones designed to enhance communication, navigation, and targeting capabilities against U.S. forces. A European intelligence official explained that Iran benefits from Russia’s experience in drone operations from its war in Ukraine, including guidance on the number of drones to deploy and optimal flight altitudes.
Russia is also providing Iran with information on the positions of U.S. military forces and regional allies. Experts noted that satellite imagery can offer precise details on land and sea targets, aiding both strike planning and post-attack damage assessment.
The intelligence comes from satellites managed by the Russian Aerospace Forces, which supply data for military operations, according to reports.
Despite these developments, the Trump administration maintains that U.S. military operations remain unaffected. “Nothing provided to Iran by any other country is affecting our operational success,” said White House spokesperson Olivia Wales.
